Dr. Sharda Adlakha started her practice as a Gynaecologist back in 1970 and was student of Government Medical College, Amritsar. After Pursuing Government and Army assignment for eight years she started one of the first private hospitals in Amritsar with a major trust in maternity by the Adlakha Hospital. The hospital continued to be one of the leading hospitals for a long time.

In 1984 when the ultrasound was started in places like Delhi and Bombay she was the first to import and start Ultrasound at Amritsar thus opening the era of advanced diagnostics in ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, Nuclear medicine at Amritsar.

In 1994 she started the first IVF and infertility centre at Amritsar. She organized the first Gynaeo Endoscopy workshop at her hospital in 1997 when Laparoscopy was very little known in Punjab.She was also the first Gynecologist in Amritsar under whom the concept of surrogated motherhood was started in Amritsar. Till date she continues to be one of the leading infertility specialists of Punjab. She was also a pioneer in starting the era of minimal invasive surgery in Punjab with the team of Dr. Rakesh Sinha & Dr. Neeta Warty. Many Gynaecologists around the country used to come and receive laparoscopy training at this centre.

She was also a pioneer conducting up to 100 Gynae & infertility clinics in small towns & villages around Amritsar. She is now working as a consultant at Beams Hospitals, Amritsar.

Dr. Seema served Punjab civil Medical Services for seven years and served as registrar in Govt. Medical College, Amritsar. Dedicated & patient centric, she is trained in high risk obstetrics, normal deliveries, LSCS, Painless deliveries and complicated deliveries. She is also trained in handling all gynaecological procedure & gynaec endoscopic procedures.

She is active in the field of Gynaecology & endoscopy and has special interest in Laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, infertility and Fertility enhancing endoscopic surgery and Gynaecological cancers, laparoscopic surgery for removal of uterus, removal of fibroids and ovarian cysts, hysteroscopic surgery for removal of polyps, fibroids, misplaced IUCD, infertility and recurrent abortions, colposcopy for detection and treatment of precancerous lesions of cervix.
